The temperatures have risen in the last few days, we thought we were seeing spring and the sun's rays started to warm our skin... doesn't that feel good? We thought it was spring: some took out their sunglasses, others let their ankles show without socks, others dropped their coats and bared their pale arms...

It's only the beginning of March, it's officially still winter for several weeks, the sun is showing its face but - as our grandparents used to say - the air is still cool - and the thermometer is still yo-yoing... 10° in the morning is still winter, almost 20° in the afternoon sun, but chilly in the shade and even indoors... In order to optimise our busy days, our bike rides to work, the trip to an appointment, the shopping before 6pm, we want to be well dressed. We want to be well dressed: not too hot, not too cold, protected from the March sleet, comfortable to move around in, while still looking good. With these temperature variations, it's not always easy to know how to dress with the right look: the winter coat that stays too warm in the sun, the jeans or leather jacket of the half season that doesn't stay warm enough in the morning... So, what should we do to dress in these days of weather transition?

Do you know about layering?

Layer means "layers". Layering is neither a hair care technique nor a culinary trend, it's the good old onion technique: dress intelligently and flexibly by layering 3 layers to be well equipped at any time of the day. The important thing is not to put on 20 layers, but only 3 well-chosen ones. We are preparing a complete article on the subject, but what you need to remember :

  • a base layer against your skin: a t-shirt or top that is close to the body and thin (second skin effect to maintain the heat released by your body and evacuate humidity) and soft (to remain comfortable and to be soft on your skin). You can choose natural materials (organic cotton, wool and silk mixes, etc.) or a more technical thermal material: the important thing is not to sweat excessively, both to regulate your body temperature and to feel comfortable all day.

  • an insulating mid-layer, not too tight to allow air to circulate. Of course, you can also wear a sweater or cardigan in a pretty natural fabric. But we recommend Fudoon, the pull-on hood. Warm, light, water-repellent, comfortable, easy to put on and take off, and easy to take anywhere, this down jacket hood will be your best ally for getting through the day in style, with its sometimes wintry, sometimes spring-like temperatures. In the morning, you'll be snug and warm in your Fudoon. If it rains, pull out the hood and protect your head. When it's windy, pull back the hood to stay warm and well-coiffed. When it's hot, remove your Fudoon in a single movement and store it easily in its carrying pouch. If you're feeling a little sluggish, liven up your outfit with the vitamin-packed colors of your Fudoon ! And what do you wear over it? It's easy:

  • an outer layer: in the middle of winter, we recommend a coat or parka. But in mid-season, as at the moment, when the sun is shining and temperatures fluctuate wildly in the course of a day, we recommend a lighter, more comfortable option that will match your Fudoon perfectly: dig out your favorite denim or leather jacket, or your trench coat (they've certainly spent the winter in the closet). Combined with your Fudoon, you'll be ready to face your day's busy schedule.

Free and warm in Fudoon

No more hands caught in an ugly umbrella we're about to lose (again!), no more wet, tousled hair, no more raindrops running down our necks, no more draughts down our throats. Gone, too, are the days of arriving at the office looking like a Michelin man, the layers that encase us and restrict our movements, and the afternoon heatstroke. You won't miss it... Put on and take off your Fudoon hood in a single gesture and be free to move!

In fact, journalist Caroline Ithurbide, on the lookout for innovative, well-thought-out products for her "Practical Life" column on the William à midi TV show, spotted the Fudoon hoodie and slipped it on on the C8 set.

Hot just right, when you need it

FudoonThe pull-on hood keeps you warm just where you need it, just when you need it. This down-filled hood covers the essential parts of the body you need to keep warm: throat, chest, neck, nape and head. At the heart of the human body's thermoregulation, these are the parts that need to be kept at the right temperature.

Unlike a conventional down jacket, Fudoon keeps only the most essential parts of your body warm: with no armholes, it's designed not to keep your armpits warm - areas that are naturally kept warm - and thus avoid unnecessary perspiration.

And as soon as your body warms up thanks to a ray of sunshine or physical activity, remove and store your Fudoon hood in a single gesture to enjoy the warmth of spring...
